Balance and Gait Training
What is the Purpose of Balance and Gait Training?
The way that our brain understands or perceives position sense is accomplished by tiny cells known as propriocepters.
These cells send nerve electrical signals from the muscle to the brain and this is how we know where we are in position. This is known as joint position sense or proprioception.
How Balance and Gait Training Can Help Your Recovery
Our Chiropractic Team work to restore balance helping improved movement and coordination.
This allows a higher efficiency of your workout with improved results while reducing biomechanical stress on your joints and muscles.
Chiropractic Spinal Manipulation of precise areas of the spine help improve the efficiency of communication between nerves and muscles. These muscle groups are responsible for coordinated movement of your spine and limbs. With chronic mislalignments and accompanying muscle spasm you loose the ability for proper musculoskeletal coordination resulting in wear and tear of your joints.
We use therapeutic and physical modalities to address issues with balance and gait to allow you a full path to recovery.
